Email from Meadowbrook

Jerry & Dianna

On behalf of all of us at Meadowbrook Healthcare, I would like to send our sincerest appreciation for your help and time in organizing a "cruise-in" for our residents. We had wonderful feedback from the event. Many of our gentlemen were very happy to see the older vehicles and thoroughly enjoyed them! I selves. Please pass on our gratitude to your club members. Many of them truly went above and beyond even assisting me with bringing residents back to their rooms at the end of the evening. It was wonderful and so much appreciated!

It is people like you that help us to keep our residents active and involved in the community. Again, I thank you. I hope to have the opportunity to do it again some time. Annually in the month of August, this year on Thursday the 14th, Meadowbrook holds a "Block Party." The event is open to the public and our residents and staff actually go door to door before the event and invite our neighbors. We have activities for the kids including a petting zoo, jump castle, bands, etc. If any of your club members are available, you might want to consider becoming a part of this event. It runs from 4-7 pm. It is truly a wonderful event and draws a great crowd. Thanks again S0 much! Have a great summer...probably will see you some Friday night...

LETTERS FROM RANDY, KATE, AND ALEK DUPREY PUBLISHED IN THE
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR SECTION OF THE PRESS-REPUBLICAN

Date: 11/12/2008

I would like to thank the Classic Crusiers on behalf of my family for a wonderful fundraiser and generous donation.
In June of this year I returned from Duke University from a research-based stem-cell transplant and I had to make more trips back and forth to North Carilina for testing and follow ups.  The Classic Crusiers organized a tool drawing, band and 50/50 raffle on two occasions and made an enornous donation to help cover travel costs.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping a family in need.

Randy, Kate, & Alek

Cruisers appreciated

TO THE EDITOR: We saw lights coming down our driveway, "Randy says, somebody is here." Two men showed up at our door. These men were Jerry and Kevin, both members of a wonderful group called the Classic Cruisers. They brought a very beautiful card and donation to my husband. It was for him to buy some holiday gifts for his family. Randy was so honored and blessed. He was able to buy his son a train table and train set, which he has wanted to do so badly. Thank you Classic Cruiser and thank you Kevin and Jerry for coming to our home to make my husband's holiday.
As always SMILE, Kate Duprey

THANK YOU LETTER FROM THE CHRISTMAS BUREAU
2008
Dear Friend of the Christmas Bureau:
Thanks to people like you, your organization or your business, this Community once again rose to the occasion and showed the world that charity begins at home by helping your neighbors.
Your donation, whether you gave us cash, brought toys to the many drop offs, helped is with space, ran a program for us, or whether you volunteered your time and talent, resulted in these figures.
Approximately $40,000.00 was spent to provide our families with the Christmas dinner of their choice.  2500 plus kids found shiny new, boxed toys under their tree, at a cost to us of more than !0,000.00, 150 kids now have beautiful refurbished (some new) bikes and many are sporting new backpacks filled with school supplies.
Many, many kids went back to school with brand new warm jackets; 300 kids were wearing new warm boots, and all were sporting hats and mittens (another $10,000.00).
The volunteers simply want to say THANKS--YOU sure know how to make a kid smile.

Sincerely, Alice Heckard & Tammy Perrotte (Co-Directors)
